      Teaching Main points and Difficulties:
Classical Ballet study encompasses many areas. Learning the technique involves a basi class structure as follows
      1. Barre work
The student uses the barre to learn the basic positions of the feet and legs. The barre work extends into exercises using the combinations taught in the correct terms. All ballet terms are spoken in French. The students will learn these terms, as well as physically executing them. The support of the barre enable students to build strength, balance and control.
      2. Stretching
Classes will include stretching exercises to increase flexability. They will be done on the floor as well as at the barre.
      3. Center floor work
The students progresses to the "center floor" to learn body, head and arm positions. Turns(pirouettes) and jumps are taught, as wellas movement across the floor to enhance coordination, stamina and speed.
All classes are taught to the accompaniment of classical music, specifically designed for the ballet classes.
