Dance Performances to Take Center Stage at Southwest;
National Dance Week is the Focus of Celebration

Location: at the College's Union Avenue Campus Theater, 737 Union Avenue, Union and Manassas.

Ticket: $10 for adult/ $7 for for children and students with ID.

National Dance Week is designed to raise the level of dance awareness in the community and to bring together artists for a celebration of their craft. The performances are dedicated to the memory of Jean George Noverre, a ballet innovator and dance theorist of the 18th Century.
Dancers of all ages from downtown Memphis to Germantown will be featured in the performances. They will display their talents in Ballet, Modern, African, Chinese and Jazz dance works. This artistic observance will also feature the works of painter/sculptor Don Allen, and dance interpretations by choreographers Misty Clark, Elizabeth Ann Brown, Anna Burns, Vera Stephenson, and Candyce Washington.
